''My Time at Portia'' is a video game developed by Chinese studio Pathea Games and published by Team17 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019. An Android and iOS version was released in early August 2021. It combines aspects of role-playing video games and simulation games. Plot The game takes place long after civilization has been destroyed, where humans have emerged from underground and begun rebuilding society. The player is cast in the role of the child of a famous builder, who inherits their father's workshop in the independent city state of Portia after he goes travelling. The goal of the game is to expand the city of Portia and become the best builder. Gameplay The player must gather resources and combine them in recipes to create items. Gameplay Players control a new resident in a desert town. The setting, like '' My Time at Portia'', is after an event that has destroyed previous civilizations and people have rebuilt society. ''My Time at Sandrock'' combines elements of farm life sims and role-playing games. Players build up the town, farm, gather resources, craft items, perform side quests, and explore both dungeons and the ruins of the old world cities. Combat is like ''My Time at Portia'' and uses hack and slash mechanics. Players can also make aimed shots with gun sights. Twenty-one characters are romanceable. The Windows version has cooperative multiplayer.
