The Pan American Weightlifting Championships is the continental Olympic weightlifting, weightlifting championship, for nations from the North American, Central American, South American and the Caribbean regions, organised by the Pan American Weightlifting Federation (PAWF). 1994 Pan American Weightlifting Championships
The year 1994 was designated as the "International Year of the Family" and the "International Year of Sport and the Olympic Ideal" by the United Nations.
