Paide Linnameeskond
Paide Linnameeskond, or simply Paide, is an Estonian professional football club based in Paide that competes in the Meistriliiga, the top flight of Estonian football. The club's home ground is Paide linnastaadion. Founded in 2004, the club has played in the Meistriliiga since 2009 and has never been relegated. Paide Linnameeskond have won one Estonian Cup in 2021–22, and one Estonian Supercup in 2023. History Early history (2004–2016) Paide Linnameeskond was founded in 2004 as a satellite club of Flora. The team entered the Western division of the IV liiga and saw four consecutive promotions from 2005 to 2008, when they were promoted to the Meistriliiga. Paide Linnameeskond finished their first season in the Estonian top flight in ninth place, but escaped relegation by defeating Warrior 2–1 on aggregate in the play-offs. Paide Linnastaadion
Paide linnastaadion () is a multi-use stadium in Paide, Estonia. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of Paide Linnameeskond. The stadium has a seating capacity of 500. The stadium has been hosting Estonian top flight football since 2009 and has remained to be the smallest stadium in the league, both in terms of capacity and field size. History The construction of the stadium and nearby ''Paide Ühisgümnaasium'' school building began in 1989, but due to financial reasons only the school building was completed. In 2001, 1.4 million Estonian kroon, EEK were received from the state budget to complete the stadium, upon which the city also added over 1.9 million EEK. The stadium was opened on 16 September 2002. In 2024, the stadium's field size was expanded from 96 × 62 m to 100 × 66 m. Nõmme Kalju FC (), commonly known as Nõmme Kalju, or simply as Kalju (Estonian: "rock" or "cliff"), is a professional Association football, football club based in Nõmme, Tallinn, that competes in the Meistriliiga, the top flight of Estonian football league system, Estonian football. The club's home ground is Hiiu Stadium. Founded in 1923, Nõmme Kalju first played in the Estonian top division from 1925 until 1927, but were dissolved in 1944 due to the Soviet occupation of Estonia. Andre Frolov (born 18 April 1988) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Estonian Esiliiga club Nõmme United. Since 2024, he holds the record for most appearances in Meistriliiga. Club career Flora Frolov started playing football with Flora's youth academy. He spent several years playing for various reserve and feeder teams affiliated with Flora, before becoming a regular with the main team. He won his first Meistriliiga title with Flora in the 2010 season, and his second one in the 2011 season, having scored 3 goals. Estonia National Football Team
The Estonia men's national football team () represents Estonia in international football matches and is controlled by the Estonian Football Association, the governing body for football in Estonia. The 2021 Meistriliiga, also known as A. Le Coq Premium Liiga for sponsorship reasons, was the 31st season of the Meistriliiga, the top Estonian league for association football clubs. The season was scheduled to begin on 5 March 2021, but was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic until 13 March and concluded on 5 December. FC Flora, Flora were the defending champions. The title was decided in the last round match between Flora and FCI Levadia. The 2020 Meistriliiga (known as A. Le Coq Premium Liiga for sponsorship reasons) was the 30th season of the Meistriliiga, the top Estonian league for association football clubs. The season began on 6 March 2020, but was suspended after the first round due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The league continued on 19 May 2020.
