Persatuan Sepakbola Pekanbaru dan Sekitarnya (commonly known as PSPS) is an Indonesian professional football club based in Pekanbaru, Riau. They currently play in the Liga 2. Their home ground is the Riau Main Stadium. History PSPS was formed on 1 January 1955. This team took 43 years to reach the Divisi Utama PSSI in 1999. Malayan Tapir
The Malayan tapir (''Tapirus indicus''), also called Asian tapir, Asiatic tapir, oriental tapir, Indian tapir, piebald tapir, or black-and-white tapir, is the only living tapir species outside of the Americas. It is native to Southeast Asia from the Malay Peninsula to Sumatra. It has been listed as Endangered species, Endangered on the IUCN Red List since 2008, as the population is estimated to comprise fewer than 2,500 mature individuals. Taxonomy The scientific name ''Tapirus indicus'' was proposed by Anselme Gaëtan Desmarest in 1819 who referred to a tapir described by Pierre-Médard Diard. Piala Indonesia () is the professional annual cup competition for football clubs in Indonesia. Its origins date back to the start of the semi-professional football era in 1985 as Piala Liga, which ran until 1989 under Galatama competition. The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) organized the full professional cup competition from 2005 until the most recent in 2018–2019. Kurnia Sandy
Kurnia Sandy (born 24 August 1975) is an Indonesian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Sandy played at Sampdoria's primavera (youth) team with Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto and Bima Sakti; unlike his teammates, Kurnia succeeded to break into the first team and became the fourth-choice goalkeeper for one season under coach Sven-Göran Eriksson. Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto (born 13 July 1976) is an Indonesian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Kurniawan is the fourth most capped players and goalscorer for the Indonesia national team with 33 goals in 59 appearances.
