PBA Third Conference
The PBA Third Conference was a tournament of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 1990 to 1992. These conferences often featured one or two foreign players, also known as "imports", for each competing team History The first third conference began on September 30, 1990, with each team featuring two imports. This would be the only Third Conference with two imports. It saw the Purefoods Hotdogs coming back from a 0–2 deficit in the finals against the Alaska Aces to win their first title. During the 1991 Third Conference, Allan Caidic scored 79 points in a win Barangay Ginebra, the most by a Filipino basketball player in league history. Ginebra also lost to Alaska in the finals, 1–3. Tony Harris (NBA Basketball)
Tony Dwayne Harris (born May 13, 1967) is a retired American professional basketball player. After spending high school at Roosevelt in East Chicago, he later went to University of New Orleans. Professional career Harris debuted in the NBA in February 1991 for the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1990–91 season, averaging 1.7 points on 25.0% field goal shooting and 50.0% free throw shooting in 6.8 minutes a game in 6 contests. In 1994, Tony Harris played for the Boston Celtics for two seasons. In March 1994, he had his best season with averages of 8.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 turnovers on 17.6 minutes in 5 games. He finished his NBA career with an average of 4.9 points on 10.5 minutes in fourteen contests. Shell Turbo Chargers
The Shell Turbo Chargers were a Philippine Basketball Association team from 1985 to 2005. It won four PBA championships, two from 1998 to 1999. Shell sold its franchise to PBL team Welcoat Dragons, Welcoat Paints in February 2006. Bobby Parks
Bobby Ray Parks Sr. (November 26, 1961 – March 30, 2013) was an American professional basketball player from Grand Junction, Tennessee. He played for Memphis State University (now the University of Memphis) from 1980 to 1984 and played internationally in the Philippines, Indonesia and France. As one of the most celebrated "import" players in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), Parks became the second American ever inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 2009. College career Bobby Parks came to Memphis State University in the fall of 1980 under head coach Dana Kirk. Over the next four seasons he helped the Tigers to an 86–34 record, two Metro Conference Championships and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament. He appeared in 27 games as a freshman and totaled 238 points. The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, or simply known as the Magnolia Hotshots, are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association.
