One Tree Hill (song)
"One Tree Hill" is a song by Irish rock music, rock band U2 and the ninth track on their 1987 album ''The Joshua Tree''. In March 1988, it was released as the fourth single from the album in New Zealand and Australia, while "In God's Country" was released as the fourth single in North America. "One Tree Hill" charted at number one on the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand, New Zealand Singles Chart and was the country's second-most-successful hit of 1988. The track was written in memory of Greg Carroll, a New Zealander the band first met in Auckland during the Unforgettable Fire Tour in 1984. He became very close friends with lead singer Bono and later served as a road crew, roadie for the group. Carroll was killed in July 1986 in a motorcycle accident in Dublin. After Carroll's Tangihanga, tangi (funeral) in New Zealand, Bono wrote the lyrics to "One Tree Hill" in his memory. Matheran is a partially automobile free hill station and a municipal council in the Karjat, Karjat taluka of the Raigad district located in the Indian States and territories of India, state of Maharashtra. Matheran is part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and one of the smallest hill stations in India. It is located in the Western Ghats, at an elevation of around 800 m (2,625 feet) above sea level. It is about 90 km from Mumbai, and 120 km from Pune. This proximity to these urban areas makes it a weekend getaway for many. One Tree Hill, Honor Oak
One Tree Hill is a defining feature of Honor Oak, mostly in London Borough of Southwark but with parts also in the London Borough of Lewisham. It includes a 7 hectare public park, local nature reserve and Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade 1, which is owned and managed by Southwark Council. Its name, and that of the Honor Oak area, derive from the Oak of Honor, a tree on the hill which marked the southern boundary of the Norman Honour of Gloucester. One Tree Hill was once a part of a much larger landscape called the Great North Wood. The London Wildlife Trust is currently working with Southwark Council and the Friends of One Tree Hill to improve the site for wildlife, as a part of its Great North Wood Project. One Tree Hill College is a Education in New Zealand, state coeducational secondary school located in the district of Ellerslie, New Zealand, Ellerslie in Auckland, New Zealand.
