Oberharz am Brocken () is a town in the Harz (district), Harz District, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was formed on 1 January 2010 by the merger of the town of Elbingerode with the municipalities of the former ''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'' ("collective municipality") Brocken-Hochharz (except for Allrode). Rübeland
Rübeland is a village in the district of Harz in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. Since 2004, it has been given the additional description of ''Höhlenort'' ("cave site"). The sub-districts of Rübeland are Susenburg, Kaltes Tal, Kreuztal and Neuwerk. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the town Oberharz am Brocken. Its population is 424 (2021). Location Rübeland lies in the Harz mountains on the river Bode. The Rübeland Railway and B 27 federal road run through it, a link road to the B 81 branching off in the centre of the village. South of the village stretches the Rappbode Reservoir. Königshütte (Harz)
Königshütte is a German village in the district of Landkreis Harz, Harz, in the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Since 1 January 2010 is a part of the municipality of Oberharz am Brocken. Its population is 452 (2021). Location Königshütte lies on the Bundesstraße 27, B 27 federal road in the Harz mountains; a state road branching off to Tanne (Harz) in the centre of the village. Immediately below the settlement under the ruins of Königsburg castle is the confluence of the Kalte Bode and Warme Bode, which unite here to form the River Bode (river), Bode, which initially flows into the Königshütte Reservoir and then on towards Rübeland. Königshütte is one of the waypoints on the Harzer Hexenstieg which runs past the site of the old Trogfurth Bridge. Benneckenstein () is a town in the district of Harz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it has been part of the town of Oberharz am Brocken. Benneckenstein is in the eastern Harz, 14 km southeast of Braunlage, and 24 km south of Wernigerode. Its population is 1,698 (2021). Location Benneckenstein lies in the Lower Harz within the Harz/Saxony-Anhalt Nature Park.
