Afolabi Adedoyin Olamilekan Oluwatimilehin Obafemi (born 24 November 1994) is an English professional footballer who last played as a forward for Barking, having previously played in the Football League with Leyton Orient and Dagenham & Redbridge. Career Early career Born in Walthamstow, London, Obafemi's first football club as a youngster was Ryan F.C. During his spell at Ryan, Obafemi netted a record 48 goals in one season. Michael Oluwadurotimi Obafemi (born 6 July 2000) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Burnley and the Republic of Ireland national team. Early life Obafemi was born in Dublin to Nigerian parents. While he was still an infant, his family moved to England and he was raised in the London area. Obafemi Anibaba is a Nigerian civil servant and businessman who was appointed Federal Minister of Works in March 2006 and was redeployed as Minister of Communications in September 2006 during the presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo. Obafemi Awolowo
Obafemi Jeremiah Oyeniyi Awolowo (6 March 1909 – 9 May 1987) was a Nigerian politician who served as the first Premier of the Western region of Nigeria. He was known as one of the key figure towards Nigeria's independence movement from 1957 to 1960. Awolowo founded the Yoruba nationalist group Egbe Omo Oduduwa as well as the Premier of the Western Region under Nigeria's parliamentary system from 1952 to 1959. He was the official opposition leader in the federal parliament to the Balewa government from 1959 to 1963. As a young man he was an active journalist, editing publications such as the Nigerian Worker and the African Sentinel, on top of others as well. Obafemi Devin Ayanbadejo (; born March 5, 1975) is an American former professional football player who was a running back, fullback and special teams player in the National Football League (NFL) and United Football League (UFL). He was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 1997. In 1998 as a member of the Vikings, he was allocated to the England Monarchs of the NFL Europe. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is a federal university in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. The university was founded in 1961 and classes commenced in October 1962 as the University of Ife by the regional government of Western Nigeria, which was led by Samuel Ladoke Akintola.
