O-Zone Members
O-Zone is a Moldovan Eurodance group and boy band produced by Dan Bălan; originating in 1999 as a duo, which consisted of Bălan, and Petru Jelihovschi before the latter's departure. Their official trio lineup in 1999 consisted of Bălan, Radu Sîrbu, and Arsenie Todiraș. The group became the first Moldovan act to gain global popularity with their song "Dragostea din tei" and their subsequent album ''DiscO-Zone'', which was released in 2003, before disbanding the following year. The group members have since focused on their solo careers. The band occasionally reunited for concerts in 2017 (Chișinău, Moldova; Bucharest, Romania) and 2019 (Bucharest, Romania). In 2024, it was announced that O-Zone are going to do a summer tour, but this time as a tribute band, consisting of Arsenie as the only singer and two dancers. Arsenie Todiraș
Arsenie Todiraș (sometimes spelt ''Toderaș''; born 22 July 1983) is a Moldovan singer, best known for representing Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. He grew up in Moldova with his mother, father and younger sister. He was once the youngest member of boyband O-Zone. He now pursues a solo career in Russia and Romania, under the mononym Arsenie or at times the stage name Arsenium. Arsenie represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song " Loca" (Crazy in Spanish) with Natalia Gordienco featuring Connect-R, finishing in 20th place with 22 points. He took part in the '' Dansez pentru tine'' dance contest, the Romanian version of '' Dancing with the Stars'', and took the second place, while the first was given to the Romanian singer Andra. "Dragostea din tei" (; Romanian: "Love From the Linden Tree") is a song recorded by Moldovan group O-Zone, released around July 2003 in Romania by Media Services as the lead single from their third studio album '' DiscO-Zone'' (2003). It was written by band founder Dan Balan and produced by , with the latter eventually initiating an unsuccessful lawsuit where he claimed that his alleged contribution as a songwriter had remained uncredited. Multiple record charts have been inaugurated in Romania since the 1990s. The Romanian Top 100 was the country's national chart until 2012. Founded in 1995, it was a ranking based on the compilation of charts submitted by local Romanian radio stations. The Romanian Top 100 was published weekly and was also announced during a radio show starting in 1998. Compilation of the list was first handled by Body M Production A-V, followed by Media Forest. In the 2010s, the chart was announced during a podcast on Kiss FM, but the broadcast ended in February 2012.
