Nottinghamshire Senior League
The Nottinghamshire Senior League is an English football league. The competition is a feeder to the Northern Counties East League and the United Counties League. The league has five divisions – the Premier Division (which stands at level 11 of the English football league system), NSL Division One, NSL Division Two, NSL Division Three and the NSL Development Division. The league expanded from three divisions in 2020 having absorbed the Midland & Notts Alliance League. Sandiacre is a town and civil parish in the borough of Erewash in Derbyshire,England adjoining the border with Nottinghamshire. The population of the parish was 8,889 at the 2011 Census. The name Sandiacre is usually thought to refer to a ''sandy acre'', though another interpretation, based on ''Saint Diacre'', is sometimes advanced. Geography Sandiacre is 7 miles west of Nottingham and 9 miles east of Derby. It is part of the Greater Nottingham urban area. It is on the western side of the River Erewash from Stapleford in Nottinghamshire. Sandiacre is adjoined by Long Eaton to the south and Risley to the west. History The parish church is Saint Giles' Church, which dates back to the 10th century. There is also a Methodist church in the town. The old village lock-up still exists, situated near to St. Giles. Selston is a large village and civil parish in the Ashfield District of Nottinghamshire, England. It is situated 12 miles (19.3 km) north-northwest of Nottingham and close to the border with Derbyshire. The village is located between the towns of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Eastwood, Alfreton, Heanor and Ripley. At the time of the 2001 census Selston Parish (which includes the settlements of Underwood, Jacksdale, Westwood, Bagthorpe, New Selston and Selston proper) had a population of 12,208 increasing to 12,596 at the 2011 census, and 12,240 for the 2021 census. Selston is bounded by Underwood to the south, Annesley to the east, and the Derbyshire border to the west.
