Melodi Grand Prix (), commonly known as Grand Prix and MGP, sometimes as Norsk Melodi Grand Prix, is an annual music competition organised by Norwegian public broadcaster (NRK). Maria Haukaas Mittet (née Storeng, born 3 August 1979) also known as simply Maria is a Norwegian recording artist. She gained national recognition in 2004 for her participation in the '' Idol'' reality television series, and international recognition in 2008 as Norway's representative in the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest. Biography Maria was born in Finnsnes, but grew up on the island of Senja, in Troms county, Norway. Wig Wam is a Norwegian glam metal band formed in Halden in 2001. Wig Wam's lineup—consisting of vocalist Glam (Åge Sten Nilsen), guitarist Teeny (Trond Holter), bassist Flash (Bernt Jansen) and drummer Sporty (Øystein Andersen)—has remained unchanged since the band's formation. Karoline Krüger
Karoline Krüger (born 13 February 1970) is a Norwegian singer and composer. She represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 1988 final in Dublin, where she finished fifth. Career Krüger's first TV appearance was at the age of 11, in a youth show called ''Halvsju''. She achieved her breakthrough in 1988 by winning the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix with the song "For vår jord" ("For Our Earth"), while still a student at Langhaugen Skole (1986–89). Bendik Singers
The Bendik Singers were a four-member Norwegian vocal group, brought together by singer and composer Arne Bendiksen to participate in the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest selection, Melodi Grand Prix, in 1973. The group consisted of Anne-Karine Strøm, Ellen Nikolaysen and brothers Bjørn and Philip Kruse. They performed Bendiksen's song "Å for et spill" at the Melodi Grand Prix in Oslo on 17 February 1973, and were voted the winners, earning the Norwegian ticket to the 18th Eurovision Song Contest, held in Luxembourg City on 7 April.
