Northwest University () is a public university located in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China. It is affiliated with the Province of Shaanxi, and co-funded by the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction. History The earliest predecessor of the school was the Shaanxi University Hall and the Capital University Hall Accelerated Science and Technology School in 1902. The school was first called Northwest University in 1912 and changed its name to National Northwest University in 1923. In 1937, the school formed the National Xi'an Temporary University with the National Peking University, Peking Normal University, Peiyang University College of Engineering, and Peking Research Institute, which moved west to Shaanxi. North-West University
The North-West University (NWU) is a public research university located on three campuses in Potchefstroom, Mahikeng and Vanderbijlpark in South Africa. The university came into existence through the merger in 2004 of the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education, a large, historical university dating back to 1869, which also had a branch in Vanderbijlpark, and the University of North-West (formerly the University of Bophuthatswana). Northwest University (formerly Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano), is a Nigerian public university owned by the Kano State Government. It has two campuses: City Campus located in Kano, and the main campus located along General Buhari Way Kofar Ruwa Kano. In 2017, the university initially renamed Yusuf Maitama Sule University as a tribute to Maitama Sule, the influential 20th-century Kano politician, was later renamed back to its original name, Northwest University, Kano. Indiana University Northwest (IU Northwest or IUN) is a public university in Gary, Indiana, United States. It is one of seven regional campuses of Indiana University and was established in 1963. The university enrolls approximately 3,500 degree-seeking traditional and non-traditional students along with 1,800 dual-credit students. Bushnell University is a private Christian university in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It is historically affiliated with the Christian churches and churches of Christ. History The school was founded as a divinity school in 1895 by Christian Church preacher and educator Eugene Claremont Sanderson as the Eugene Divinity School (EDS). Northwest Nazarene University (NNU) is a private Nazarene university in Nampa, Idaho. History Eugene Emerson organized a combination grade school and Bible school in 1913 as Idaho Holiness School. It was renamed twice in 1916, first to Northwest Holiness College and then to Northwest Nazarene College, and then became a liberal arts college in 1917 with degree-granting authority from the Idaho state Board of Education.
