Nonsberg Group
The Nonsberg Group (, ) is a mountain range in South Tyrol and Trentino in Italy and part of the Southern Limestone Alps. A large part of the Nonsberg Group is formed by the Mendelkamm. Their highest peak is the Laugenspitze (). The Nonsberg Group is bounded in the east by the Etschtal, to the north by the Prissian High Forest (Ger: ''Prissianer Hochwald'', It: ''Selva di Prissiano'') on the Gampen Pass (It: ''Passo delle Palade'') and in the west by the Non Valley (Ger: ''Nonstal'', It: ''Val di Non''). Lana, South Tyrol
Lana (; ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) and a village in South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is situated in the Etschtal (Etsch Valley) between Bolzano and Merano and at the entrance to the Ultental. The population rose to 12,566 in 2020. It is one of the three municipalities of South Tyrol whose name remained unchanged by the early 20th-century renaming programme which aimed at replacing mostly German place names with Italianised versions, the other two being Gais and Plaus. History Coat-of-arms The emblem displays argent, a Teutonic cross sable, and a lion rampant gules over all. The lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Brandis who played a role in the development of the village. The emblem was adopted in 1967. 250px, Reservoir Sankt Pankraz in the Ulten Valley The Ulten Valley ( or , ) is a 40 km (25 mile) long mountain valley in the western part of the province of South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is the valley of the stream Falschauer, a right tributary of the Adige. Its orientation is southwest to northeast, parallel to the lower Vinschgau, and it is located south of Meran. The valley ends in the ''commune'' of Lana. A small road leading south connects the valley with Proveis and the Val di Non in Trentino. The municipality Ulten covers most of the Ulten valley. The lower part of the valley is in the municipality of St. Pankraz. The population of the Ulten valley is predominantly German-speaking (more than 98% according to 2001 census).
