National Monuments Of Taiwan
"National monument" () is the highest designation possible given to historic sites in Taiwan, followed by municipal and county (city) monuments. The designations are outlined in the , and monuments are preserved by the Bureau of Cultural Heritage, a subdivision of the Executive Yuan. According to the ''Cultural Heritage Preservation Act'', Chapter 1, Section 3, historic sites are defined as "architectural works and its ancillary facilities built for the needs of human life, which are of outstanding universal value from the point of view of history, art or science." The first iteration of the Act in 1982 divided these monuments into levels 1, 2, and 3, with 1 being the highest. Subsequent revisions to the act redefined the levels into the designations used today. The Judicial Building () is a governmental building in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. Datong is a prefecture-level city in northern Shanxi Province, China. It is located in the Datong Basin at an elevation of and borders Inner Mongolia to the north and west and Hebei to the east. Teacher's Highland Cream is a brand of blended Scotch whisky produced in Glasgow, Scotland by Suntory Global Spirits, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings of Osaka, Japan. Xinyi District or Sinyi District is considered the financial district of Taipei, Taiwan. The district is also one of the shopping areas in Taipei, anchored by a number of department stores and malls. Taipei Railway Workshop
The Taipei Railway Workshop () was the largest railway workshop of the Taiwan Railways Administration. For decades it manufactured and maintained thousands of railway vehicles. The workshop was established in 1935 to replace the original workshop, the Old Taipei Railway Workshop, which had become inadequate. It was the largest railway workshop ever built in Taiwan. The Governor-General of Taiwan recognized its establishment as a celebration of the Empire of Japan's rule of Taiwan for 40 years. The 16.82-hectare site on Civic Boulevard was the largest and oldest kind on the island. It closed in 2012. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall
The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall ( zh, t=中正紀念堂, p=zhōngzhèng jìniàntáng, poj=Tiong-chèng-kí-liām-tn̂g) is a national monument and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China. Datong District, Taipei
Datong District or Tatung is a district of Taipei City, Taiwan. It is located between the Taipei Metro Red Line and eastern shore of the Tamsui River, and between Civic Boulevard and the Sun Yat-sen Freeway. The southern part of this district is known as Twatutia, one of the first settlements in what is now Taipei and once the commercial center. Taipei's commercial center has since shifted southeast to Zhongzheng, Da'an and Xinyi, and Datong is far less important economically. The Shilin Official Residence () is the former residence of late Republic of China President Chiang Kai-shek located on Zhongshan North Road in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan.
