Namma Metro Stations
The Namma Metro ('), also known as Bangalore Metro, is the rapid transit system serving the city of Bangalore in India. Out of the operational 68 metro stations of Namma Metro as of November 2024, there are 59 elevated stations, eight underground stations and one at-grade station. The first section (on the Purple Line) of the Namma Metro system opened on 20 October 2011 between Baiyappanahalli and M.G Road. The system is operated by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). On 25 March 2023, a new section of the Purple Line from Krishnarajapura to Whitefield (Kadugodi) (13.71 km) with 12 new stations was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. After the inauguration, the Purple Line was complete and the Namma Metro became the second longest metro system in India (76.95 km) after Delhi Metro. Madavara Metro Station
Madavara is the elevated northern terminal metro station on the North-South corridor of the Green Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, India. The station is located near the Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), a prominent venue that hosts a wide range of exhibitions, events, and conferences from all over the world. The Madavara - Nagasandra stretch's trial run was conducted on August 6 2024 and with successful trial run, this metro station was opened on November 6 2024 with the commercial run started from November 7 2024. This metro station was opened without any inauguration ceremony but will be formally inaugurated at a later stage. Hopefarm Channasandra Metro Station
Hopefarm Channasandra (formerly known as Channasandra) is an elevated metro station on the East-West corridor of the Purple Line of Namma Metro in Bengaluru, India, which serves the main Channasandra neighbourhood area. This station is situated near the Kadugodi metro depot, Prestige Park View apartment, few shopping centres and many more. The Whitefield - Krishnarajapura trial runs were successfully conducted from 25 October for a month. City Railway Station Metro Station (Bangalore)
Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station (formerly known as City Railway Station) is an underground metro station on the East-West corridor of the Purple Line of Namma Metro which serves the Subhash Nagar area, Sevashrama area in Bangalore, India. It was opened to the public on 30 April 2016. A foot overbridge connecting the metro station with platform 10 of the Bangalore City railway station was opened on 18 February 2019. The BMRC reported that monthly ridership at the metro station was 175,000 passengers per day prior to opening the bridge, and increased to 250,000 two months after its opening. Benniganahalli Metro Station
Benniganahalli is an elevated metro station on the east-west Purple Line of Bengaluru's Namma Metro transit system. In its vicinity are the Tin Factory Junction leading towards Baiyappanahalli, the Benniganahalli Lake, and the Tin Factory Bus Stop. It was opened to the public on 9 October 2023 without any inauguration ceremony. The station lies between the Baiyappanahalli station in the west and the Krishnarajapura (KR Pura) station in the east. Baiyappanahalli, part of the first stretch of the entire Namma Metro system, was inaugurated in 2011, and the eastern section of the line from KR Pura to the terminus at Kadugodi was inaugurated in March 2023. Baiyyappanahalli railway station (station code: BYPL) is an Indian Railways train station located in Baiyyappanahalli, Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka which is located about 13 km away from the Bangalore City railway station and serves Baiyyappanahalli, Indiranagar, Krishnarajapuram and HAL areas.
