Nagoya Railroad
, publicly trading as , is a private railway company operating around Aichi Prefecture and Gifu Prefecture of Japan. Some of the more famous trains operated by Meitetsu include the ''Panorama Car'' and the ''Panorama Car Super'', both of which offer views through their wide front windows. While the ''Panorama Super'' train is used extensively for the railroad's limited express service, the older and more energy-consuming ''Panorama Car'' train has been retired, the last run being on 27 December 2008. In the Tōkai region around Nagoya, it is a central firm of the Meitetsu Group, which is involved in transport, retailer, retail trade, Tertiary sector of economic activity, service industry, and real estate, among other industries. The is a tilting electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) on limited express services in Japan since January 2005. Operations The 2000 series operates as an access train serving Central Japan International Airport (Centrair), and entered service in January 2005, shortly before the airport opened. The trains made up of 2000 series cars are known as , a combination of "μTicket" which is Meitetsu's ticket for first class seats, plus "sky" in reference to the airport. μSky trains can reach Central Japan International Airport Station from Meitetsu-Nagoya Station in 28 minutes with a maximum speed of 120km/h. The is a commuter electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) in Japan since 2008. Formation Trains are formed as follows. The M1 and M2 cars each have one single-arm pantograph. Two more sets were delivered in April and May 2009, followed by two more sets in October and November 2009. Two sets were delivered during fiscal 2011, bringing the total fleet to 32 vehicles (8 sets) by March 2012. Five sets were delivered during spring and summer of 2012, and three sets each in early 2013 and 2014. The is a railway line in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) connecting Sanage Station in Toyota, Aichi, Toyota and Hekinan Station in Hekinan, Aichi, Hekinan. It originally extended beyond Hekinan to Kira-Yoshida Station, Kira Yoshida, and beyond Sanage to Nishi Nakagane, with a proposed extension to Asuke substantially constructed but subsequently abandoned (see History section below). Chita Peninsula
The Chita Peninsula (知多半島 ''Chita Hantō'') is a peninsula to the south of Aichi Prefecture, central Honshū, Japan. It runs approximately north-south. To the west is Ise Bay, while to the east it encloses Mikawa Bay. It faces the Atsumi Peninsula southeast across Mikawa Bay. Chūbu Centrair International Airport is located off the west coast of the peninsula. Geography The peninsula is relatively narrow and consists of a hilly terrain. Economy The northern part of the peninsula is industrialized, with a western part of them being a part of Chūkyō Industrial Area.
