Mudvayne Members
Mudvayne is an American heavy metal band formed in Peoria, Illinois, in 1996. Known for their sonic experimentation, face and body paint, masks and uniforms, the band has sold over five million records worldwide. The group consists of lead guitarist Greg Tribbett, drummer Matthew McDonough, lead vocalist Chad Gray, bassist Ryan Martinie and live rhythm guitarist Marcus Rafferty. The band became popular in the late-1990s Peoria underground music scene, and they found success with the single " Dig" from their debut album '' L.D. 50'' (2000). After releasing four more albums and touring relentlessly for nearly a decade, Mudvayne went on hiatus in 2010. They reunited in 2021 and continue to perform live. Ryan Martinie
Ryan Daniel Martinie (born August 6, 1975) is an American musician, best known as the bassist for heavy metal band Mudvayne. Career Mudvayne In 1996, Mudvayne was formed. They initially had a different bass player, Shawn Allen (Barclay was a joke name for insiders). In 1997, still with Shawn as their bass player, Mudvayne released their first EP, ''Kill, I Oughta''. The band released five studio albums in their career, and remained active until 2010 when they went on an indefinite hiatus. Mudvayne announced in April 2021 that they were reuniting for their first shows in more than a decade and possibly new music. Other projects Martinie was the guest bassist on Kurai, a project created by guitarist and vocalist Scott Von Heldt. The drummer was Abel Vallejo, the drum tech for Korn. Dig (Mudvayne Song)
"Dig" is a song by American heavy metal band Mudvayne, released in 2000 as the band's debut single. It appears on the band's debut studio album '' L.D. 50'' (2000). A music video was released for the song on April 10, 2001, and it later won the first ever MTV2 Award. It is also one of the band's most well-known songs, being certified gold in the United States. A live version of the song taken from the Tattoo the Earth tour appears on the live album ''Tattoo the Earth: The First Crusade''. The song also appeared on the compilation album '' WWF Tough Enough''. Michael Shawn Crahan (born September 24, 1969), more commonly known by his stage persona "Clown", is an American musician. He is the co-founder, percussionist, and only original member remaining of the alternative metal band Slipknot (band), Slipknot, in which he is designated #6. He helped form Slipknot in 1995 alongside bassist Paul Gray (American musician), Paul Gray and former vocalist Anders Colsefni, although a lot of what Slipknot became came from Paul Gray and Joey Jordison. Garth "GGGarth" Richardson, (born ), is a Canadian record producer and sound engineer. He is the son of music producer Jack Richardson. Kill, I Oughtta
''Kill, I Oughtta '' is the debut extended play of American heavy metal band Mudvayne. It was self-released by the band in 1997. In 2001, the EP was reissued by Epic Records under the title ''The Beginning of All Things to End''. The reissue featured, as additional tracks, remixes of " Dig", and "L.D. 50", a 17-minute sound collage which originally appeared as interludes on that album. It is the only release by Mudvayne to have any participation from original bassist Shawn Barclay. Music and lyrics According to Matthew McDonough, the EP was "thrown together" for the band's fans. It consists of five studio tracks originally intended for a demo, and three live tracks. No studio versions exist for the three live tracks "I.D.I.O.T.", "Central Disposal" and "Coal".
