The Ministry of National Guard () is a cabinet-level ministry and one of the major military sectors of the Government of Saudi Arabia, responsible for national security and defence matters. The Saudi Arabian National Guard is under the administrative control of the Ministry of National Guard. Ministers Prince Abdullah bin Bandar heads the ministry since 27 December 2018. The deputy minister is Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz al-Tuwaijri. The head of the military apparatus at the ministry is Lt General Mohammed al-Nahid. Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (; born 7 August 1986) is the Minister of National Guard in Saudi Arabia. He was appointed to the post on 27 December 2018. He is a member of the House of Saud and one of the grandsons of Saudi's founder King Abdulaziz. Early life and education Abdullah bin Bandar was born on 7 August 1986. Saudi Arabian National Guard
The Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG), also known as the White Army, is one of the three major branches of the military forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The national guard is under the administrative control of the Ministry of National Guard, instead of the Minister of Defense (Saudi Arabia), Ministry of Defence. It differs from the regular Saudi Arabian Army in being forged out of tribal elements loyal to the House of Saud and tasked with protecting the royal family from internal dangers such as a coup d'état. The Saudi Council of Ministers ( ''Majlis al-Wuzarā' as-Su'ūdī'') is the cabinet of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is led by the King. Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri
Abdulaziz bin Abd al-Muhsin al-Tuwaijri (1912–2007), was a Saudi soldier and politician. He was deputy head of the National Guard under his friend and mentor Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and was later chief of the Crown Prince's Court when the Prince was Heir Apparent and later Regent. He was succeeded by his son Khaled, who himself became ''de facto'' prime minister of Saudi Arabia. Career Abdulaziz al-Tuwaijri was one of the editors of '' Al Qassim'', a weekly nationalist paper, which had been launched by Abdullah Al Ali Al Sani in December 1959. Al-Tuwaijri first met Prince Abdullah in the 1960s, when the latter was made head of the National Guard.
