Çankaya District
Çankaya is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Ankara Province, Turkey. Its area is 483 km2, and its population is 942,553 (2022). It is home to many government buildings, including the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, as well as nearly all foreign embassies to Turkey. Çankaya is a cosmopolitan district and considered the cultural and financial center of Ankara. The Turkish Air Force () is the Air force, air and space force of the Turkish Armed Forces. The Turkish Naval Forces (), or Turkish Navy (), is the naval warfare service branch of the TAF. The Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation ( or MKE for short), established in 1950, is a reorganization of government-controlled group of factories in Turkey that supplied the Turkish Armed Forces with military products.
