Aneriophora
''Aneriophora'' is a little-known genus of hoverfly, hoverflies from South America. It contains only one species, ''Aneriophora aureorufa''. The genus was originally named ''Eriophora'' by Rodolfo Amando Philippi (1865); this name was preoccupied by ''Eriophora'' Eugène Simon, Simon, 1864, so it was renamed to ''Aneriophora'' by Stuardo and Cortés (1952). This species is a specialist pollinator of ''Eucryphia cordifolia'' and ''Laurelia sempervirens''. References

''Cynorhinella'' is a genus of hoverflies from the family Syrphidae, in the order Diptera Flies are insects of the order Diptera, the name being derived from the Greek δι- ''di-'' "two", and πτερόν ''pteron'' "wing". Insects of this order use only a single pair of wings to fly, the hindwings having evolved into advance .... Curran erected ''Cynorhinella'' for a new species which he named ''canadensis''. He states in the description: "I am unable to place the following specimen in any genus known to me, and it traces out to ''Cynorhina'' in Williston's manual, and apparently comes closest to this genus but the thickened, arcuate hind femora with the projection apically, and the more distinct facial side margins separate it. It is related to ''Chilosia'' and ''Chrysochlamys'' by the last mentioned character, but there is no semblance of bristles and the shape of the abdomen is distinctive." ''Chalcosyrphus'' is a genus of hoverflies in the subfamily Eristalinae. Many species exhibit some degree of mimicry of various sawflies and other hymenopterans and are often brightly coloured or metallic in hue. Somula Decora
''Somula decora'', commonly known as the spotted wood fly, is an uncommon species of syrphid fly observed in central to eastern North America. Hoverflies can remain nearly motionless in flight. The adults are also known as flower flies for they are commonly found on flowers, from which they get both energy-giving nectar and protein-rich pollen Pollen is a powdery substance produced by most types of flowers of seed plants for the purpose of sexual reproduction. It consists of pollen grains (highly reduced Gametophyte#Heterospory, microgametophytes), which produce male gametes (sperm .... The larvae live in decaying wood. Distribution Canada, United States.
