MTV (Indian TV Channel)
MTV is an Indian pay television channel specialising in music, reality and youth culture programming. It was launched in 1996 as the Indian version of the original American network and is owned by JioStar, under a license agreement with Paramount Networks EMEAA. Most of the programming on the channel is produced in Hindi. MTV India has its headquarters in Vile Parle in Mumbai. Related channels In 2014, Viacom 18 launched ''Pepsi MTV Indies'', an indie music and subculture channel in partnership with Pepsi Co. In 2016, MTV Indies was replaced by MTV Beats, a 24-hour music-only channel. After its launch, MTV India changed its focus on broadcasting reality series. VH1 India airs the international productions of MTV instead of airing them on MTV India, along with international music. ''MTV Love School'' is an Indian reality television series that premiered on 5 December 2015 on MTV India. The first season was hosted by Upen Patel and Karishma Tanna, and the subsequent seasons were hosted by Karan Kundra and Anusha Dandekar. The series focuses on the relationships of real-life couples. ''MTV Force India The Fast and The Gorgeous'' is a reality show on MTV India produced in association with Indian Formula 1 team Force India. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932 by P. Varadarajulu Naidu. It is headquartered in Noida, owned by the ''Indian Express Group''. It was later taken over by Ramnath Goenka. In 1999, eight years after Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members. The southern editions took the name '' The New Indian Express'', while the northern editions, based in Mumbai, retained the original ''Indian Express'' name with ''The'' prefixed to the title. Bigg Boss (Hindi TV Series)
''Bigg Boss'' is an Indian Hindi-language reality television show of the ''Bigg Boss'' franchise in India that airs on Colors TV. It is based on the Dutch format of ''Big Brother (franchise), Big Brother'', developed by Endemol. Since its premiere on November 3, 2006, the show has completed eighteen seasons and three OTT ''(Over-the-Top)'' seasons. Throughout its run, ''Bigg Boss'' has seen a variety of hosts. The first season was hosted by Arshad Warsi, followed by Shilpa Shetty in the second season and Amitabh Bachchan in the third. ''India's Next Top Model'' is an Indian reality television series, which premiered on 19 July 2015 and broadcast on MTV India. The series is an Indian version of Tyra Banks-created 2003 American reality television series ''America's Next Top Model''. The viewers see several women compete for the title of ''India's Next Top Model'', providing them with an opportunity to begin their career in the modeling industry. Fame Gurukul
Fame Gurukul is an Indian reality show on Sony Entertainment Television which premiered on 27 June 2005. The program was produced by the same production house of ''Indian Idol''. The concept of the show was to select a pair of India's best singers/performers. It is based on the Spanish '' Operación Triunfo'' and international ''Star Academy'' format of Endemol, better known in English under the UK title ''Fame Academy''. ''Fame Gurukul'' started out with 16 contestants living in a musical performance academy (Gurukul). Every week (normally) one contestant was voted out of the show, and so on until two remained in the end. ''The Dewarists'' is a part music documentary and part travelogue television series on MTV India. The show casts musicians from various parts of the world, collaborating to create original music while travelling across India.
