MIPI Alliance Standards
MIPI Alliance is a global business alliance that develops technical specifications for the Mobile computing, mobile ecosystem, particularly smart phones but including mobile-influenced industries. MIPI was founded in 2003 by ARM Holdings, Arm, Intel, Nokia, Samsung, STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments. Non-member organizations have limited access to MIPI standards, with some exceptions. The exceptions generally take the form of a ''public'' version of the standard. An example of one of these exceptions is the ''I3C (bus), I3C Basic standard'' which requires no license from MIPI to implement. The organization comprises about 330 member companies worldwide, 15 active working groups and has delivered more than 45 specifications within the mobile ecosystem in the last decade. Display Serial Interface
The Display Serial Interface (DSI) is a specification by the Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI) Alliance aimed at reducing the cost of display controllers in a mobile device. It is commonly targeted at LCD and similar display technologies. It defines a serial bus and a communication protocol between the host, the source of the image data, and the device which is the destination. The interface is closed source, which means that the specification of the interface is not open to the public. The maintenance of the interface is the responsibility of the MIPI Alliance. VESA (), formally known as Video Electronics Standards Association, is an American standards organization, technical standards organization for computer display standards. PCI-SIG, or Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group, is an electronics industry consortium responsible for specifying the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), PCI-X, and PCI Express (PCIe) computer buses. It is based in Beaverton, Oregon. The PCI-SIG is distinct from the similarly named and adjacently-focused PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group. It has produced the PCI, PCI-X and PCI Express specifications. MIPI I3C Sensor Interface Standard
I3C, also known as SenseWire, is a specification to enable communication between computer chips by defining the electrical connection between the chips and signaling patterns to be used. Short for Improved Inter-Integrated Circuit, the standard defines the electrical connection between the chips to be a two wire, shared ( multidrop), serial data bus, one wire (SCL) being used as a clock to define the sampling times, the other wire (SDA) being used as a data line whose voltage can be sampled. The standard defines a signaling protocol in which multiple chips can control communication and thereby act as the bus controller. PCI Express (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), officially abbreviated as PCIe, is a high-speed standard used to connect hardware components inside computers.
