Lund Municipality
Lund Municipality () is a municipality in Scania County, southern Sweden. Its seat is the city of Lund. As most municipalities in Sweden, the territory of municipality consists of many former local government units, united in a series of amalgamations. The number of original entities (as of 1863) is 22. At the time of the nationwide municipal reform of 1952 the number had been reduced to six. In 1967 the rural municipality ''Torn'' (itself created in 1952) was added to Lund. The ''City of Lund'' was made a unitary municipality in 1971 and amalgamated with ''Dalby'', ''Genarp'', ''Södra Sandby'' and ''Veberöd'' in 1974 completing the process. Since 2016, the municipality is subdivided into 16 districts for the purposes of population and land registration. Dalby Söderskog, one of Sweden's national parks, is located within the municipality near Dalby. The municipal bird of Lund is the Eurasian penduline tit. Eurasian Penduline Tit
The Eurasian penduline tit or European penduline tit (''Remiz pendulinus'') is a passerine bird of the genus ''Remiz''. It is relatively widespread throughout the western Palearctic. It is migratory in the northern part of its range but resident in the southern part. The breeding range in Western Europe experienced an expansion during the 1980s and 1990s. This was accompanied by an expansion of the species’ winter range and reached as far south as northern Morocco. It builds an elaborate hanging nest, formerly used in Central Europe as children's slippers. Taxonomy The Eurasian penduline tit was formally described by the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus in 1758 in the tenth edition of his ''Systema Naturae'' under the binomial name ''Motacilla pedulinus''. 2022 Swedish General Election
General elections were held in Sweden on 11 September 2022 to elect the 349 members of the Riksdag who in turn elected the Prime Minister of Sweden. Under the constitution, regional and municipal elections were also held on the same day. The preliminary results presented on 15 September showed the government parties lost their majority, which were confirmed by the final results published on 17 September. Dalby, Lund Municipality
Dalby () is a locality and short-lived (11th century) former Latin Catholic diocese situated in Lund Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 6732 inhabitants in 2019. It is located about 10 km East-southeast of Lund, and about 20 km East-northeast of Malmö. Dalby was a municipality up until 1974, when it became part of Lund municipality. Between 1941 and 1954, Dalby was also a municipal urban area ("''municipalsamhälle''"). The Dalby Söderskog national park is situated just northwest of Dalby. The old quarry ''Stenbrottet'' is located a couple of kilometres east of Dalby. It's a popular place for swimming and fishing and for couples to become engaged.
