Lukko Players
Rauman Lukko (Finnish for "lock") is a Finnish sports club based in Rauma, Finland, best known for its men's professional ice hockey team. The club was founded as Rauma Woodin Lukko in 1936. The representative team currently plays in the Finnish Liiga, the premier men's professional ice hockey league in Finland. They play their home games in the Äijänsuo Arena, which has a capacity of 5,400 spectators. Lukko won the SM-sarja in 1963 and won the Liiga championship in 2021. Until 2023 the club also had a top-tier women's representative ice hockey team, which played in the Naisten Liiga, and a top-tier women's representative pesäpallo team, which plays in the Superpesis. Rauma, Finland
Rauma (; ) is a town in Finland, on the western coast of the country. Rauma is in the Satakunta region, by the Gulf of Bothnia. The population of Rauma is approximately , while the sub-region has a population of approximately . It is the most populous municipality in Finland. Rauma lies north of Turku and south of Pori. Its neighbouring municipalities are Eura, Eurajoki, Laitila and Pyhäranta. 2010–11 SM-liiga Season
The 2010–11 SM-liiga season was the 36th season of the SM-liiga, the top level of ice hockey in Finland, since the league's formation in 1975. The title was won by HIFK who defeated Espoo Blues Kiekko-Espoo is a Finnish professional ice hockey club founded in 2018 as a continuation of the Kiekko-Espoo team originally founded in 1984. Matti Keinonen
Matti Keinonen (6 November 1941 – 27 November 2021) was a Finnish professional ice hockey player and coach. During his career he played in the SM-sarja with Lukko, Lukko Rauma, RU-38 (sports club), RU-38, Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi, HJK Helsinki, Jokerit, and HC TPS, TPS Turku. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987, and into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2002. Keinonen was nicknamed as "Mölli". He died in Uusikaupunki on 27 November 2021, at the age of 80. Teppo Rastio
Teppo Edvard Rastio (15 February 1934 – 29 May 2023) was a Finnish professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga for Lukko and Ilves. Rastio was inducted to the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1985. Rastio was also known as a footballer. He played two seasons in the Finnish premier division Mestaruussarja Mestaruussarja (Championship series) was the top division of Finnish football from 1930 to 1989. Finnish Cup (ice Hockey)
The Finnish Cup (''Suomen Cup'' in Finnish) is the national ice hockey cup competition in Finland. It was played from 1955-1958 and from 1964-1971. The Finnish Cup returned to the competition program in autumn 2017. The 2022 Finnish Cup was attended by all Mestis and Suomi-sarja The Suomi-sarja is Finland's third highest ice hockey league. Suomi-sarja has 14 teams. Suomi-sarja has been played since the 1999–2000 season. Harry Lindblad
Harry Gustaf Lindblad (30 July 1912 – 2 February 1984) was a Finnish ice hockey administrator, coach and player. He served as the Finnish Ice Hockey Association president for 18 years, after five years as its vice-president. During this time, Finland participated in its first ice hockey tournament at the Winter Olympics, won its first medal in international hockey, began to build indoor ice rinks, hosted two Ice Hockey World Championships, and founded the Finnish Elite League. He was posthumously recognized for his contributions by induction into both the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame and the IIHF Hall of Fame. Early life Lindblad was born on 30 July 1912 in Vyborg, Grand Duchy of Finland. He was baptised Harry Gustaf Lindblad on 25 October 1912, to parents Gustaf Edvard Lindblad, and Margaretha Elisabeth Henriksson.
