Lee Myung-bak Government
The Cabinet of Lee Myung-bak () was the fifth government of the History of South Korea#Sixth Republic (1988–present), Sixth Republic of South Korea. It took office on 25 February 2008 after Lee Myung-bak's victory in the 2007 South Korean presidential election, 2007 presidential elections. Most of the new cabinet was approved by the National Assembly (South Korea), National Assembly on 29 February. Led by President of South Korea, President Lee Myung-bak, it was supported principally by the conservative Liberty Korea Party, Saenuri Party, previously known as the Grand National Party. It was also known as ''Silyong Jeongbu'' (), the "pragmatic government", a name deriving from Lee's campaign slogan. The president of the Republic of Korea (), also known as the president of South Korea (), is the head of state and head of government of South Korea. The president directs the executive branch of the Government of South Korea, government and is the commander-in-chief of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. Lee Ju-ho (; born 17 February 1961) is a South Korean economist who served as the acting president of South Korea from May to June 2025 and has served as the acting prime minister of South Korea since May 2025. Byong Man Ahn
Ahn Byong-man (8 February 1941 – 31 May 2022) was a South Korean academic, and the former President of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Seoul National University in 1964 and 1967, and went on to the University of Florida for doctoral studies, graduating in 1973. In 1975 he joined the faculty of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea. While at this institution he served as the Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of the Graduate School, and in 1994 he was named president. He served in this capacity until 2004. Ministry Of Strategy And Finance
The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF; ) oversees the financial policies of the South Korean government. It publishes a monthly report on the national economy, known as the "Green Book." The current minister is Choi San-mok. The headquarters is in the Sejong Government Complex in Sejong City.
