Laredo Apaches
The Laredo Apaches were a minor league baseball team from Laredo, Texas that existed in two different incarnations: 1949-53 and again in 1995. History The original Apaches were one of the six charter franchises of the Class D Rio Grande Valley League in 1949, having been preceded in Laredo by the Laredo Bermudas of the Southwest Texas League (1910–1911) and the Laredo Oilers, who played as members of the Gulf Coast League in 1926 and Texas Valley League in 1927. In 1949, Laredo finished 80–60 in second place, and were eliminated by Brownsville in the playoffs. The following year, the Apaches moved into a new stadium, West Martin Field (now Veterans Field) and finished second again, edged out for the pennant by a single game by Harlingen; again, the Apaches were beaten in the semifinals, this time by Corpus Christi Seahawks. Losing two of their eight clubs mid-season, the RGVL folded after the 1950 campaign, and four of the loop's teams moved to the Class B Gulf Coast L ...

Jeep Cherokee (SJ)
: ''See also Jeep Cherokee for other models using this name.'' The SJ series Jeep Cherokee is a full-size SUV that was produced from 1974 through 1983 by Jeep. It was based on the Wagoneer that was originally designed by Brooks Stevens in 1963. Development The Cherokee was a redesigned reintroduction of a two-door body style, with a single fixed rear side window with an optional flip-out section. Previously, a two-door version had been available in the Jeep Wagoneer line from 1963 to 1967, although this had the same pillar and window configuration as the four-door Wagoneer. The Cherokee was marketed as the "sporty" two-door variant of Jeep's station wagon. The term "Sport Utility Vehicle" appears for the first time in the 1974 Cherokee sales brochure. A four-door was not added to the lineup until 1977. The initial, 1974 Cherokees were only available in the standard "narrow track" configuration as base models (Model 16), or top-of-the-line S models (Model 17). Later, t ...

It was released in February 2001 as the second single from his debut album ''Play It Loud (Chris Cagle album), Play It Loud''. It peaked at #8 on the Hot Country Songs chart. He heard "Galveston (song), Galveston" by Glen Campbell on the radio and began thinking of other songs about cities in Texas. He decided to pick Laredo, Texas, because it was one of the few cities for which he could not think of an existing song. Laredo (TV Series)
''Laredo'' is an American Western television series that aired on NBC from 1965–67, starring Neville Brand, William Smith, Peter Brown, and Philip Carey as Texas Rangers. It is set on the Mexican border around Laredo in Webb County in South Texas. The program presented 56 episodes in color. It was produced by Universal Television. The series has a comedic element, but like another NBC series that premiered in 1965, '' The Wackiest Ship in the Army'', it was an hour in length, had no laugh track, and characters were not infrequently killed in it, thus going against three unofficial rules for sitcoms at the time. The pilot episode of ''Laredo'' aired in 1965 on NBC's '' The Virginian'' under the title "We've Lost a Train". In 1969, the pilot was released theatrically under the title ''Backtrack''. Three episodes from the series were edited into the 1968 feature film ''Three Guns for Texas''. Synopsis The series were about three members of the Texas Rangers and their comm ...
