The Lane Cove Council is a Local government in Australia, local government area located on the North Shore (Sydney), Lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The administrative seat of Lane Cove is located north-west of the Sydney central business district. The Council comprises an area of 11 square kilometres (4.2 sq mi), and as at the 2021 census had an estimated population of 39,438. The mayor of Lane Cove Council since 10 October 2024 is Councillor Merri Southwood, an independent candidate. Location On the western and southern borders is the Lane Cove River with the City of Ryde, Ryde and Municipality of Hunter's Hill, Hunter's Hill, across the river on the western and southern banks respectively. Gore Hill is an urban locality on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Gore Hill is located within the southern part of the suburb of Artarmon, and the north-west of the suburb of St Leonards. Blaxlands Corner
Blaxlands Corner is a locality on the North Shore of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Blaxlands Corner is at the intersection of Longueville Road, Northwood Road, and River Road West, in the southern part of Lane Cove adjacent to Longueville. It contains the Longueville Sporting Club, a BP service station, a bottle shop, a travel and cruise agency. Longueville Motor Bus Company built a depot at 16 Northwood Road in 1939 that was closed by successor Deanes Coaches in the mid-1970s.
