LNB Pro A Awards
The LNB Pro A Awards are the individual awards of the top-tier level men's professional club basketball league in France, the LNB Pro A. Maxi-Basket holds the vote, and calls it the referendum. The distinction of the Coach of the Year is awarded by the Coaches' Basketball Union. French Basketball League System
The French basketball league system is a series of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in France. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and relegation system between competitions at different levels. Christian Garnier (basketball)
Christian Garnier (1872–1898) was a French geographer and linguist best known for developing a systematic transcription method for geographical names. At the age of 14, he became the youngest member of the ''Société de Géographie'' in Paris. He went on to write several books dealing with select topics of linguistic and geographical interest. Garnier died in 1898 at the age of 26 and was posthumously awarded the ''Prix Volney''. In 1925, the ''Société de Géographie'' created the Christian Garnier Prize for contributions to the study of geography. He retired in 1998, as the basketball player who won the most French League titles during his career, with 9. Dacoury is considered to be one the greatest players in French basketball history. Stéphane Ostrowski (born 17 March 1962) is a retired French professional basketball player. At a height of 6 ft 8 in (2.05 m) tall, he played at the power forward position. During his playing career, at a height of 1.97 m (6'5 ") tall, he played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. Limoges Cercle Saint-Pierre, commonly referred to as Limoges CSP or CSP, is a French professional basketball club based in the city of Limoges. History The club was founded in 1929, but its peak was during the 1980s and 1990s, when they became the first French club to win a major European-wide title in a team sport, by winning the EuroLeague, FIBA European League (EuroLeague) in 1992–93 FIBA European League, 1993.
