Kerala Blasters FC is an Indian professional association football, football club that competes in the Indian Super League, the top-tier of Football in India, Indian football. The club was established on 27 May 2014 and began their first professional season a few months later in October 2014. They play their home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Kochi), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi. Kerala Blasters Football Club (), commonly referred to simply as Blasters, is an Indian association football, professional football club based in Kochi, Kerala, that competes in the Indian Super League (ISL), the top tier of football in India. The club was established in May 2014 during the 2014 Indian Super League season, inaugural season of the ISL. The club played their inaugural match on 13 October 2014, losing 1–0 to NorthEast United FC, NorthEast United. The Blasters are the three-time runners-up of the Indian Super League. Sandesh Jhingan (born 21 July 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Indian Super League club Goa and the Indian national team. Potsangbam Renedy Singh, simply known as Renedy Singh (born 20 June 1979), is an Indian football coach, former professional football midfilder and football pundit from Manipur. Nirmal Chettri (born 21 October 1990 in Melli, Sikkim) is an Indian footballer who plays mainly as a defender and last played for Southern Samity in the Calcutta Football League. Club career Early career Chettri began his footballing career in 2000 with Namchi Sports Hostel after being discovered in the Sikkim governments ''Search for More Bhaichung's'' campaign (In reference to then India striker and Sikkimese-born Baichung Bhutia). Mehtab Hossain (born 5 September 1985) is an Indian former professional footballer and coach who played as a defensive midfielder. During his career, Hossain has played for both of the Kolkata football giants, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. He played with East Bengal for ten seasons, winning the Federation Cup three times.
