JOS Watergraafsmeer
JOS Watergraafsmeer is an association football club from the Amsterdam district Watergraafsmeer. In 2010 the club had around 500 registered members. The Saturday team plays in the Derde Klasse, while the Sunday team competes in the Vierde Divisie. History 20th century: Origins and founding The club came into its current formation in 1995 after the fusion of two clubs from Watergraafsmeer, Jeugd Organisatie Sportclub (JOS, founded 1920) and Watergraafsmeer (1988). The Watergraafsmeer club was a result of six clubs amalgamating into one, TIW (Trainen Is Winnen, 1921), Amstel (1905), RNC, TDO (Training Doet Overwinnen, 1915), WMHO (Wie Moed Houdt Overwint, 1934) and Ontwaakt (1923). The Nits
Nits (known until 1989 as The Nits) are a Dutch pop group founded in 1974. Their musical style has varied considerably over the years, as has their line-up with the core of Henk Hofstede (the group's lead singer and lyricist), Rob Kloet, drummer, and Robert Jan Stips ( Supersister, Gruppo Sportivo, Golden Earring), keyboards. Their biggest hit in the Netherlands was "Nescio" (1983), a tribute to the Dutch author Jan Hendrik Frederik Grönloh. RKSV HBC
RKSV HBC (short for ''Rooms-Katholieke Sport Vereniging Heemstede-Berkenrode Combinatie''), often also abbreviated as SV HBC or just HBC, is a Dutch football club from Heemstede. The club was founded in 1902 and plays its home matches at the HBC Sportpark. History 20th century: Foundations and transitions HBC was founded in 29 October 1902 as the Voetbalvereniging Heemstede. In 1917, it merged with Voetbalvereniging Berkenrode culminating in the Roman Catholic Heemstede-Berkenrode Combinatie. HBC joined the national league system in the Derde Klasse, possibly on the license of Berkenrode. After three years, in 1920, it moved back to the sectarian Roman Catholic DHVB leagues. Voetbalvereniging Staphorst is a football club from Staphorst, Netherlands. They are currently competing in the fifth tier Vierde Divisie. History VV Staphorst was founded on 30 November 1959. In the National 2011–12 KNVB Cup Staphorst won first round 4–2 against RKSV Groene Ster. In the second round it played in Het Noorderslag against VV Montfoort in the second round. Montfoort player Joost van Apeldoorn was sent out with a red card in minute 59. With one more player on the field, Staphorst scored twice and went on to the third round. John Van 't Schip
Johannes Nicolaas "John" van 't Schip (; born 30 December 1963) is a Dutch football manager and former player who played as a winger. He is the current manager of Armenia. Born in Canada, he played for the Netherlands national team for nine years. He spent his club career with Ajax, where they won four Eredivisie titles, a UEFA Cup and a European Cup Winners Cup, as well as Genoa. He was also a member of the Dutch side which won the 1988 European Championships. Van 't Schip started his managerial career at the Ajax Youth Academy, and his first senior managerial gig was with Twente. He previously was the manager of PEC Zwolle in his native Netherlands and Melbourne City in Australia among others. He managed Greece from 2019 to 2021. Arkadiusz Krystian Milik (; born 28 February 1994) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Juventus and the Poland national team. Olympic Stadium (Amsterdam)
The Olympic Stadium (, ) is a sporting venue which was used as the main stadium for the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam. The venue is currently used mostly for Sport of athletics, athletics, other sports events and music concerts. When completed, the stadium had a capacity of 31,600. Following the completion of the rival De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam in 1937, the Amsterdam authorities increased the capacity of the Olympic Stadium to 64,000 by adding a second ring to the stadium. In 1987, the stadium was listed as a national monument.
