JIPPO Players
Jippo (stylised as JIPPO 2001–2024) is a Finnish association football, football club, based in Joensuu. It plays in the Ykkösliiga, the second highest level of Finland, Finnish Association football, football. Jippo plays its home matches at Mehtimäki, Joensuu. History JIPPO was formed in 2001 after the merger of JiiPee and Ratanat – both playing in the Kakkonen (third level), the division Jippo played its first four seasons from 2002 to 2005. The team was promoted to Ykkönen for the season 2006 after winning the eastern group of Kakkonen and beating Klubi-04 2–1 on aggregate in the promotion playoff. Arpad Mester scored the winner goal. After 9 years of playing in Ykkönen, JIPPO relegated back to Kakkonen for the season 2015, winning promotion back to Ykkönen after the 2020 season. During 2022–2023, JIPPO competed in Kakkonen. Joensuu
Joensuu (; ; ) is a city in Finland and the regional capital of North Karelia. It is located in the eastern interior of the country and in the Finnish Lakeland. Kolmonen
Kolmonen or III divisioona is the fifth level in the Finnish football league system, league system of Finnish football and comprises 108 Finland, Finnish football (soccer), football teams. The III divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kolmonen (''Number Three'' in English and ''Trean'' in Swedish). Until the end of 2023 season, Kolmonen was the fourth level in the pyramid, but after the creation of new second-tier Ykkösliiga, Kolmonen fell down one level, starting in 2024. Maximus Mikael Tainio (born 24 May 2001) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Finnish club Jippo in Ykkösliiga. He is the son of former footballer Teemu Tainio. Club career Tainio signed to Tottenham on a two-year deal in January 2017. Spurs released the player near the end of July 2020. Tainio joined up with his father at Veikkausliiga club FC Haka. Nuutti Kaikkonen (born 10 April 2003) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Ykkösliiga side Jippo. Career Kaikkonen was born in Joensuu and played for local clubs Jippo and Lehmon Pallo-77. On 28 December 2021, Kaikkonen moved to Oulu and signed with AC Oulu on a two-year deal with an option for an additional year. Kaikkonen made his Veikkausliiga debut on 16 October 2022, in a home loss to Ilves. During the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Kaikkonen played mostly in OLS, the reserve team of AC Oulu, in the third tier league Kakkonen, helping the team earn a spot in Ykkönen for the 2024 season. Nuutti Tykkyläinen (born 19 July 1999) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Ykkösliiga club Jippo. Club career Jippo Tykkyläinen is a product of Jippo. Due to injuries in the Jippo-squad, Tykkyläinen got his official debut for the club on 12 July 2015 against FC Myllypuro in the Kakkonen at the age of 16. Despite his young age, Tykkyläinen made a total of 13 appearances in the league in that season.
