The Ivy Preparatory School League is a high school athletic conference of preparatory schools in New York City and its suburbs. The Ivy Preparatory School League has no affiliation with the Ivy League universities. Athletic Conference
An athletic conference is a collection of sports teams which play competitively against each other in a sports league. In many cases conferences are subdivided into smaller Division (sport), divisions, with the best teams competing at successively higher levels. Conferences often, but not always, include teams from a common geographic region. The Big East Conference was a List of college athletic conferences, collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The conference's members participated in 24 National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA sports. Danya Abrams
Danya Abrams (born September 24, 1974) is an American former basketball player who played for the Boston College Eagles during his time in the NCAA. He played professionally in Spain for Malaga, Sevilla, and Granada while in Greece for Apallon, Maroussi, and AEP Petras. He is from Greenburgh, New York. He starred with the Eagles from 1993 to 1997, getting selected first-team All-Big East Conference three times. Abrams finished his collegiate career with 2,053 points in 122 games. In 1997, with the help of sophomore point guard Scoonie Penn, Abrams and Boston College won the Big East men's basketball tournament, before beating Valparaiso in the first round of the 1997 NCAA Tournament that year. The Dartmouth Big Green men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Ian McGinnis
Ian McGinnis (born September 27, 1978) is an American former basketball player for Dartmouth College's men's basketball team. He is best known for leading NCAA Division I in rebounding during his sophomore season in 1998–99. He averaged 12.2 rebounds per game and was the first Dartmouth player to average a double-digit number of rebounds in 38 years. To date, McGinnis is the only Dartmouth player to have ever led the nation in this statistical category. McGinnis grew up in Manhattan, New York. He attended the Collegiate School on the Upper West Side. As a senior in 1996–97 he averaged 23 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks per game.
