The Iron Mask
''The Iron Mask'' is a 1929 American part-talkie adventure film directed by Allan Dwan. In addition to some sequences with dialogue, the film featured a synchronized musical score with sound effects and a theme song. The film is an adaptation of the last section of the 1847-1850 novel '' The Vicomte de Bragelonne'' by Alexandre Dumas, père, which is itself based on the French legend of the Man in the Iron Mask. Plot The film stars Fairbanks as d'Artagnan, Marguerite De La Motte as his beloved Constance (who is killed early in the film to protect the secret that the King has a twin brother), Nigel De Brulier as the scheming Cardinal Richelieu, and Ullrich Haupt as the evil Count De Rochefort. Iron Mask is a power metal band formed in 2002 by Belgian guitarist , also known from Magic Kingdom. History ''Revenge Is My Name'' (2002-2005) Petrossi signed with Lion Music in early 2002 to record a side project, Iron Mask. The band’s name and some songs of the first album were based on the book Man in the Iron Mask by Alexander Dumas. The album was titled '' Revenge Is My Name''. Harry Bensley
Harry Bensley (1876 or 1877 – 21 May 1956) was an English rake and adventurer, best remembered as the subject of an extraordinary wager between John Pierpont Morgan and Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale. How much of his story is based on fact is unclear. Bensley was from Thetford in Norfolk, England. In 1904 he was sentenced to four years' penal servitude for bigamy and fraud: he had married a woman named Lily Chapman in 1903 even though he was already married to his first wife, Kate Green, whom he had married in 1898; he had also been defrauding people by posing as the son of a knight and claiming that he was due to inherit large estates in Norfolk. Michel Vergé-Franceschi (born 28 October 1951, Toulon) is a French naval historian. ''Le secret du Masque de Fer'' (The secret of the Iron Mask) is a historical essay by French novelist Marcel Pagnol, who identified the famous Man in the Iron Mask, prisoner in the iron mask as the twin brother of Louis XIV of France, Louis XIV, born after him and imprisoned for life in 1669 for having conspired against the King.
