Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta or IIM-C) is a public business school located in Joka, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was the first Indian Institute of Management to be established, and has been recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India in 2017. PRS Legislative Research, commonly referred to as PRS, is an Indian non-profit organisation that was established in September 2005 as an independent research institute to make the Indian legislative process better informed, more transparent and participatory. PRS is based in New Delhi. Background Each Member of Parliament (MP) to India represents over two million constituents. The Indian Parliament passes an average of 60 Bills every year. MPs make laws and address complex policy issues across a wide range of sectors. Shantanu Khosla is an Indian business executive. He is the former managing director of Procter & Gamble (P&G) India. As managing director, he was the country head of P&G for India and led operations for all three P&G companies in the country: two listed as ''Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Limited'' and '' Gillette India Limited'', as well as a 100% subsidiary of the parent company called ''Procter & Gamble Home Products''. Patu Keswani (born February 9, 1959 in Lucknow) is the Chairman and Managing Director of Lemon Tree Hotels . Early life and education Patu Keswani completed his education at St. Columba’s School, New Delhi. He received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 1981 and subsequently his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta 1983. Shipping Corporation Of India
The Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) is a public sector undertaking that operates and manages vessels servicing both national and international lines. It is under the ownership of the Government of India and under administrative control of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, with its headquarters in Mumbai. History SCI was established on 2 October 1961 by the amalgamation of Eastern Shipping Corporation and Western Shipping Corporation.
