Imagination! (Epcot Pavilion)
Imagination! (formerly The Journey Into Imagination) is a pavilion located in the World Celebration section of Epcot, a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. The pavilion opened with the park in 1982, and is themed to human imagination, creativity, and the arts. Kodak was the former title sponsor of the pavilion. Attraction history While the pavilion itself has existed since 1982, it has gone through three significant phases. The original started out as an area in which the 3-D film '' Magic Journeys'' was played with a song by the same name by the Sherman Brothers. The Makin' Memories slide presentation, a history of photography was the pre-show presentation. When '' Journey Into Imagination'' opened a year later, the area was dubbed the Journey Into Imagination Pavilion. Sherman Brothers
The Sherman Brothers were an American songwriting duo that specialized in musical films, made up of brothers Robert Sherman (December 19, 1925 – March 6, 2012) and Richard Sherman (June 12, 1928 – May 25, 2024). Together they received various accolades including two Academy Awards and three Grammy Awards. They received nominations for a Laurence Olivier Award, a BAFTA Award, and five Golden Globe Awards. In 1976, they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the National Medal of the Arts in 2008. Death Of Michael Jackson
On June 25, 2009, the American singer Michael Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 50. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, said that he found Jackson in his bedroom at his North Carolwood Drive home in the Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, Holmby Hills area of the city not breathing and with a weak pulse; he administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to no avail, and security called 9-1-1 at 12:21 p.m. Pacific Time Zone, Pacific Daylight Time (UTC−07:00, UTC–7). ''Kim Possible'' is an American animated Action comedy TV series, action comedy television series created by Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle for Disney Channel. Figment (Disney Character)
Figment is a The Walt Disney Company, Disney character and mascot of the Imagination! (Epcot), Imagination! pavilion at the Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World. He is a small purple dragon with a runaway imagination, which serves as a plot device in Journey into Imagination with Figment, the most recent edition of the pavilion, and he is featured in Epcot merchandise. Journey into Imagination with Figment is the third and latest incarnation of a dark ride attraction located within Imagination! (Epcot), the Imagination! pavilion at World Celebration at Epcot, a theme park at the Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida. Originally opened on March 3, 1983, its original and current version feature the small purple dragon named Figment (Disney), Figment as well as the song "One Little Spark", composed by the Sherman Brothers. Eric Idle
Eric Idle (born 29 March 1943) is an English actor, comedian, songwriter, musician, screenwriter and playwright. He was a member of the British comedy group Monty Python and the parody rock band the Rutles. Idle studied English at Pembroke College, Cambridge, and joined Cambridge University Footlights. He has received a Grammy Award as well as nominations for two Tony Awards. ''Honey, I Shrunk the Audience'' (known as ''MicroAdventure!'' in Tokyo Disneyland) was a 4D film spin-off of the ''Honey, I Shrunk the Kids'' film series that was shown at several Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney theme parks. The audience wore 3D glasses, and the gimbal-mounted theater would shake and rock, creating the illusion of moving along with the characters in the film.
