Iamsound (stylized IAMSOUND; formerly Iamsound Records) is an American entertainment company based in Los Angeles and founded by Niki Roberton. Iamsound comprises a creative and marketing studio, visual artist management firm, and independent record label. Record label Iamsound launched as a record label in 2007, and released albums from artists including Florence and the Machine, Charli XCX, Lord Huron, Banks, and Salem. The label also promoted the group MS MR and released its single "Hurricane", though the group's album ''Secondhand Rapture'' eventually came out via Columbia Records. It later expanded into visual artist management and running a creative studio. In 2010, the label released a series of vinyl and digital singles called the ''L.A. Collection'', featuring Los Angeles-based musicians through a singles club. In 2019, they signed artist Mk.gee. Fool's Gold is an American musical collective that combines Western pop with African and Middle Eastern music. The group started as a side project of musicians Luke Top (a vocalist and bassist) and Lewis Pesacov (lead guitarist), who set out to explore their shared love of various forms of African music (specifically Congolese, Ethiopian, Eritrean and Malian), Krautrock, and 1980s dance influenced pop music. History Formation The band was formed initially as a collaboration between Top and Pesacov in 2007. The Black Ghosts are an English electronic music duo composed of Theo Keating and Simon William Lord, formed in 2006. They are currently signed to Southern Fried Records in the UK and IAMSOUND Records in North America. Keating and Lord had previously been in the bands the Wiseguys and Simian, respectively. Keating is well known for his other recording synonyms Touche and Fake Blood. Get Shakes was an Isle of Wight-based electronic band founded by Matt and Darren Farrow in 2006. History The group was founded by Matt and Darren Farrow in the Isle of Wight in 2006 and were originally known as "Shakes." The brothers previously were members of different bands, but found the most success working together.
