Hudson Soft
was a Japanese video game company known for releasing numerous titles across video game consoles, home computers, and mobile phones. Headquartered in the Midtown Tower in Tokyo, it also maintained an office in the Hudson Building in Sapporo. Founded on May 18, 1973, Hudson initially focused on personal computer products before expanding into video game development, publishing, peripherals, and music production. The company was best known for its series ''Bomberman'', '' Adventure Island'', '' Star Soldier'', '' Bonk'' and '' Bloody Roar''. It also developed games for other publishers, most notably the ''Mario Party'' series for Nintendo. is a mixed-use skyscraper in Akasaka, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Completed in 2007, it is the tallest of the six buildings within the Tokyo Midtown complex, at , and was the tallest building in Tokyo until 2014. Bloody Roar
is a series of fighting games created by Hudson Soft and developed together with Eighting. The series has been published by multiple companies including Activision, Konami, SCEA, and Virgin Interactive. Konami holds the rights to the franchise after Hudson Soft was absorbed into the former company in 2012. The series began in 1997 under the name '' Beastorizer''. The game incorporates anthropomorphism as its main gameplay feature and theme, where the playable characters are ''Zoanthropes'' (the name comes from the clinical term, ' zoanthropy', which is similar to lycanthropy), humans who have the ability to transform into half-human, half-animal creatures (anthropomorphic animals).
