Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Sporting Club (often abbreviated as HAL or HASC) is an Indian institutional multi-sports club based in Bangalore, best known for its association football, football team. It was named after the company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The club has competed in the top tiers of Karnataka football — the Bangalore A Division and the BDFA Super Division. As one of the top clubs from Karnataka, they have also competed in the National Football League (India), National Football League till 2007, and subsequently the I-League, then top tier of Indian football league system. The Bangalore Football Stadium is a association football, football stadium in Bangalore, Karnataka. It has served as a venue in three editions of the I-League, then top-tier football league in the country. The stadium was the home of Bengaluru FC for one season, when they won the I-League trophy in their first attempt. I-League 2nd Division
The I-League 2 is an Indian men's professional association football, football league. It is the 3rd tier of the Indian football league system, behind the Indian Super League and the I-League. It operates as a system of promotion and relegation with the I-League and the I-League 3. 2010–11 I-League
The 2010–11 I-League was the fourth season of the I-League, which was the highest football league competition in India during the time. It ran from 3 December 2010 to May 2011. Dempo are the defending champions. On 30 May 2011 Salgaocar won the title by beating JCT 2–0 in the final match of the season. Teams Sporting Clube de Goa and Shillong Lajong FC were relegated at the end of the 2009–10 season after finishing in the bottom two places of the table. The 2010 I-League 2nd division was the third season of the second tier of the I-League, the highest football league in India. It commenced on 26 March 2010 with the first matches of the first round and ended in early May 2010 with the last matches of the promotion round.
