Heart (band)
Heart is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1973. The band evolved from previous projects led by founding members Roger Fisher (guitarist), Roger Fisher (guitar) and Steve Fossen (bass guitar), including The Army (1967–1969), Hocus Pocus (1969–1970), and White Heart (1970–1973). By 1975, original members Fisher, Fossen, and Ann Wilson (lead vocals and flute), along with Nancy Wilson (rock musician), Nancy Wilson (rhythm guitar, vocals), Michael Derosier (drums), and Howard Leese (guitar, keyboards and backing vocals) formed the lineup for the band's initial mid- to late-1970s success period. These core members were included in the band's 2013 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Roger Fisher (guitarist)
Roger Fisher (born February 14, 1950) is an American guitarist primarily known as one of the founding members of the band Heart (band), Heart. His tenure lasted from 1967 until 1979. In 2013 Fisher was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Heart (band), Heart. Career The band Heart started out as Army in 1967 in Seattle, Washington, formed by bassist Steve Fossen and brothers Roger and Michael Fisher. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a Music genre, genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. Darian Sahanaja (born May 20, 1963) is an American singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and arranger who is best known for co-founding Wondermints in 1992 and having played with Brian Wilson's supporting band since 1999. Gilby Clarke
Gilbert J. Clarke (born August 17, 1962) is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is known for having a three-year tenure as the rhythm guitarist of Guns N' Roses, replacing Izzy Stradlin in 1991 during the Use Your Illusion Tour, and also featured on ''"The Spaghetti Incident?"'' (1993). Scott Olson
Scott Olson is an American guitarist, bassist, music producer and recording engineer. He played guitar with Heart between 1995 and 1998 and between 2002 and 2003, and in 1996 he performed with Alice In Chains on their ''MTV Unplugged'' concert. Olson was a recording consultant for Cameron Crowe's 2000 film Almost Famous. He performed with Alice in Chains again on February 18, 2005, during a benefit concert in Seattle for the victims of the 2004 tsunami disaster, and joined the band one more time to perform the song " No Excuses" at their concert in Washington, D.C., on October 25, 2006. Michael Allen Inez (born May 14, 1966) is an American rock musician and bassist. Since 1993, Inez has been the bassist of the American rock band Alice in Chains. Denny Carmassi
Dennis Joseph "Denny" Carmassi (born 1947) is an American drummer most notable for playing with many rock bands. Biography Carmassi was born into a family of drummers; his father, his uncle, and his brother each played the drums. Occasionally, they allowed young Denny to sit in with them. His father exposed him to great drummers, including Buddy Rich, Jimmy Vincent and Richard Goldberg. Denny listened to the radio and discovered such drummers as Earl Palmer, D.J. Mark Andes
Mark Andes (born February 19, 1948) is an American musician, known for his work as a bassist with Canned Heat, Spirit, Jo Jo Gunne, Firefall, Heart, and Mirabal. Early life Andes was born in Philadelphia, but grew up in Los Angeles, one of two sons of actor Keith Andes (1920–2005). Career As a teenager, he was an early member of Canned Heat, but left before the band was signed to a recording contract. Andes was a founding member of the band Spirit. He played bass on their first four albums and on some subsequent reunion albums. During a bout with the flu, Mark co-wrote one of Spirit's first singles, "Mechanical World," with fellow Spirit member Jay Ferguson who was a friend from high school.
