Hatta, Gaza
Hatta () was a Palestinian Arab village of 1,125 inhabitants that was depopulated after a July 17, 1948 assault by Israeli forces of the Givati Brigade during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. Following the war the area was incorporated into the State of Israel and Zavdiel and Aluma were established on the land that had belonged to Hatta. Location The village was situated in a flat area on the southern coastal plain. It was probably named after the al-Hut tribe, originally from Najd in central Arabia, who camped near the site at the end of the fifth century A.D.Khalidi, 1992, p. 100 History The Arab geographer Yaqut al-Hamawi (d. 1228) referred to the village as Hattawa and said it was the home of the Islamic scholar ´Amru al-Hattawi. Muhammad Jaslee bin Hatta is a former Singapore international football player who plays for Balestier Khalsa. He is currently the academy manager of Singapore Premier League club Tanjong Pagar United. Club career Previously, Jaslee played for SAFFC, Tampines Rovers, Young Lions, Woodlands Wellington and Gombak United. Hatta Club is a sports club based in Hatta in the Emirate of Dubai, UAE, founded in 1981. It is most widely known for its professional football team, which currently plays in the UAE Division One. Founded in 1981, the club’s football team plays its home matches at the Hamdan Bin Rashid Stadium, which has a capacity of 5,000 spectators. Nicknamed the “Tornado,” Hatta FC has experienced fluctuating fortunes in UAE football. They secured the UAE Division One title twice, in the 2015–16 and 2022–23 seasons, earning promotion to the UAE Pro League on both occasions. Yoichi Hatta
was a Japanese engineer, known for his contributions in hydraulic engineering in the Taiwan under Japanese rule, Japanese-ruled Taiwan. Hatta was born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa. After graduating from Tokyo Imperial University in 1910, he joined the Seat of Governor-General of Taiwan and served as a technician of the government. He was the designer of Chianan Canal and Wusanto Reservoir. He was killed on board the transport ship Taiyō Maru, when it was torpedoed and sunk on May 8, 1942 by US submarine USS Grenadier (SS-210), ''Grenadier''. In contemporary Taiwan, he is honored as a deity for his contributions to irrigation. He played for Osaka SC was founded by his alma mater high school graduates and many Japan national team players Yoshimatsu Oyama, Toshio Miyaji, Sakae Takahashi and Kiyonosuke Marutani were playing in those days. Kayo Hatta (March 18, 1958 – July 20, 2005) was an American filmmaker, writer, and community activist. She directed and co-wrote the independent dramatic feature-length film ''Picture Bride'', which won the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award in 1995 for Best Dramatic Film. Ichiro Hatta
was a Japanese judoka and wrestler. He was instrumental in founding the Japanese Amateur Wrestling Association and bringing the 1964 Olympics to Japan. Biography Originally a judo specialist and a secretary to Kanō Jigorō he helped popularize judo in the United States and Europe. He later received the Olympic Order from the International Olympic Committee for his contributions to judo and the Olympics. In 1929 Hatta held 4th dan in judo, and by 1952 progressed to the 7th dan. Judo became an Olympic sport only in 1964, and therefore at the 1932 Olympics Hatta competed in freestyle wrestling. After that he helped establish the Japanese Amateur Wrestling Association, and at the 1936 Olympics was the head coach of the national wrestling team. Later he served in the House of Councillors, the Japanese upper house of the legislature. In 1965, Hatta also helped Victor Koga to form the Japanese Sambo Federation.
