Grimstad
Grimstad () is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It belongs to the geographical region of Sørlandet. The administrative center of the municipality is the town of Grimstad. Grimstad () is a town in Grimstad municipality in Agder county, Norway. The town is also the administrative centre of the municipality. It is located on the Skaggerak coast in Southern Norway along the Groosefjorden, between the towns of Arendal (to the northeast) and Lillesand (to the southwest). Fjære
Fjære is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1846 until 1971. It was located to the north of the town of Grimstad. The name is still used to refer to that area, which is now a part of Grimstad municipality in Agder county. The administrative centre of Fjære was the village of Vik, just east of the historic Fjære Church. Other villages in Fjære included Fevik, Dømmesmoen, Frivold, Kroken, and Rønnes. History The municipality of Fjære was created in 1846 when the old municipality of Øyestad was divided. Initially, Fjære had a population of 2,806. Landvik
Landvik is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1971. The municipality's area is now located in the western and central part of the present-day municipality of Grimstad. The administrative centre was the village of Roresanden, just up the hill from the Landvik Church. Other villages in Landvik include Molland, Reddal, Skiftenes, Tjore, and Østerhus. Today, the name Landvik is still used to designate the westernmost part of the municipality of Grimstad, near the Prestegårdskogen housing development. Fevik
Fevik is a Seaside resort and village in Grimstad municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located along the Skaggerak coast about northeast of the town of Grimstad and about south of the city of Arendal. The village of Vik lies just southwest of Fevik. The village of Fevik has a population (2015) of about 5,300 people, with most working in Arendal or central Grimstad. Prestegårdskogen ( en, Woods on the Priest's farm) is a village area located in the municipality of Grimstad in Agder county, Norway. It sits about south of the village of Roresand and about east of the Landvik Church. The village is entirely made up of houses, with people working in the nearby town of Grimstad, to the east.
