is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Nordland Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Helgeland Districts of Norway, traditional region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Trofors. Grane Church
Grane Church () is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Grane Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Grane, about north of the municipal center of Trofors. The church sits along the European route E06 highway, just from the river Vefsna. It is the main church for the Grane parish which is part of the Indre Helgeland prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1860 using plans drawn up by the architects Andreas Grendestad and Andreas Nilsskog. The church seats about 230 people. The church was consecrated on 22 July 1860. A new service building was constructed near the church in 1999, and it is used for church offices. The church typically holds worship services about 20 times per year. Nordland Line
The Nordland Line (, ) is a railway line between Trondheim and Bodø, Norway. It is the longest in Norway and lacks electrification. The route runs through Trøndelag and Nordland counties, carrying a combination of commuter, long-haul passenger and freight trains. From Trondheim Central Station to Steinkjer Station the line is most heavily used, with hourly services by the Trøndelag Commuter Rail. There are three branch lines—the Stavne–Leangen Line at Leangen Station, the Meråker Line at Hell Station and the Namsos Line at Grong Station. The section from Trondheim to Hell opened on 22 July 1882. The next section, initially the Hell–Sunnan Line, opened in stages between 1902 and 1905. The line was lengthened to Snåsa Station on 30 October 1926 and then to Grong on 30 November 1929. European Route E6
European route E6 (, , or simply E6) is the main north–south thoroughfare through Norway as well as the west coast of Sweden. It is long and runs from the southern tip of Sweden at Trelleborg, into Norway and through almost all of the country north to the Arctic Circle and Nordkapp. The route ends in Kirkenes close to the Russian border. Route From south to north, the E6 runs through Trelleborg, Malmö, Helsingborg, Halmstad, Gothenburg, Svinesund in Sweden, before crossing the border at the Svinesund Bridge into Norway. Trofors
Trofors is the administrative centre of Grane Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located at the confluence of the rivers ''Austervefsna'' and ''Svenningdalselva'' which together form the large river Vefsna. The village of Leiren lies about to the southeast and the village of Majavatn lies about to the south. The village has a population (2024) of 860 and a population density of . Trofors lies along the European route E6 highway, at the intersection with Norwegian National Road 73 which heads east to Hattfjelldal and then to onwards to Sweden. Vefsna
, , or is the largest river in Nordland county, Norway. It is long and drains a watershed of . Its headwaters lie in the mountains of Børgefjell National Park at the lake Simskardvatnet. The river runs through Hattfjelldal Municipality, Grane Municipality, and Vefsn Municipality. The southern parts of the river are sometimes called the river ''Susna''. The river flows north, not far from the Swedish border, and some of the minor tributaries come from Sweden. At the town of Mosjøen, the river discharges into the Vefsnfjorden. The Laksforsen waterfall lies along its course. Historically, it was an important salmon fishery, but it has now been infected with the salmon parasite Gyrodactylus salaris.
