Yobe State
Yobe is a States of Nigeria, state located in northeastern Nigeria. A mainly agricultural state, it was created on 27 August 1991. Yobe State was carved out of Borno State. The capital of Yobe State is Damaturu, and its largest city by population is Potiskum, while the largest by land area is Fune. The Potiskum local government area is a place of farmers and marketers; the largest cattle market in Africa is located in Potiskum. All Nigeria Peoples Party
The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) was a political party in Nigeria. The ANPP was a household party in the extreme north of Nigeria, primarily due to its mass appeal among more religious voters. It was the strongest opposition party, controlling seven of the nation's thirty-six states at one point. The party's biggest achievement in the 2003 election was its gubernatorial victory in Kano State where it defeated the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) to take control of one of the country's most populous states. Following the 2007 election, the ANPP challenged the victory of Umaru Yar'Adua, although it was announced on 27 June 2007 following talks, that the ANPP had agreed to join Yar'Adua's government of national unity. Mai Mala Buni (born 19 November 1967) is a Nigerian politician who has been serving as the governor of Yobe State since 2019. He was elected as governor during the 2019 Nigerian general election, 2019 Nigeria general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress. Prior to his election as governor, he held the position of national secretary of the All Progressives Congress. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election. Ibrahim Gaidam (born 15 September 1956) is a Nigerian politician and the current Minister of Police Affairs since 2023. He previously served as Senate of Nigeria, senator representing the Yobe East senatorial district from 2019 to 2023, and as governor of Yobe State from 2009 to 2019. Mamman Bello Ali (1958 – 26 January 2009) was a Nigerian politician who served as the governor of Yobe State from 2007 until his death in 2009. He previously served as the senator representing the Yobe South senatorial district from 1999 to 2007. He was the chairman senate committee on public account from 1999 to 2007. All People's Party (Nigeria)
The All People's Party (APP) is a former Nigerian political party. It was formed in late 1998 during a transition from military to civilian rule by a coalition of associations that received considerable support under the regime of Sani Abacha. Most of the party's support came from the middle belt region and parts of the north. Following gubernatorial elections in January 1999, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) emerged as the dominant political party. Musa Mohammed is a Nigerian politician and Nigerian Army colonel who served as the Administrator of Yobe State, Nigeria from August 1998 to May 1999 during the transitional regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar. Later he became the Minister of Sports and Social Development from July 2003 to July 2005 during the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo. Career Military Musa Mohammed attended the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna and the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
