Governors Of Mizoram
This is a list of governors of Mizoram, an Indian state part of Northeast India. There are 54 governors with additional charge. Powers and functions The governor enjoys many different types of powers: *Executive powers related to administration, appointments and removals, *Legislative powers related to lawmaking and the state legislature, that is Vidhan Sabha or Vidhan Parishad, and *Discretionary powers to be carried out according to the discretion of the Governor. Lieutenant governors of Mizoram S.J.Das was the administrator of Mizoram from 21 January 1972 to 23 April 1972. Swaraj Kaushal
Swaraj Kaushal (born 12 July 1952) is an Indian criminal lawyer practising in New Delhi. He was designated as a senior advocate by the Supreme Court of India at age 34, and he became the Governor of Mizoram at the age of 37, serving between 1990 and 1993. Early life Swaraj Kaushal was born to Madan Lal and Lajyawati on 12 July 1952 in Solan, Patiala and East Punjab States Union (present-day Himachal Pradesh). He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from D.A.V. School, Chandigarh and completed LLB from Faculty of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Krishan Kant Paul
Krishan Kant Paul (born 6 February 1948) is a former Indian Police Service officer, who served as the Commissioner of Police, Delhi from February 2004 to July 2007. Following his retirement from the IPS, he served as the governor of several states—Meghalaya (2013–15), Manipur (2014-15) and Uttarakhand (2015–18). Vinod Kumar Duggal
Vinod Kumar Duggal (born 26 November 1944) is a retired Indian civil servant. Duggal served as Home Secretary in the Government of India from 2005 to 2007 in the government of Manmohan Singh. He belongs to the 1968 batch of IAS. On 23 December 2013 he was appointed governor of Manipur by President Pranab Mukherjee. Purushothaman (12 April 1928 – 31 July 2023) was an Indian politician who served as the Governor of Mizoram from 2011 to 2014, Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, state minister and Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
