Government Of Sindh
The Government of Sindh () () is the provincial government of the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Its powers and structure are set out in the provisions of the 1973 Constitution, in which 30 Districts of 7 Divisions under its authority and jurisdiction. The province's executive head and head of the government is the Chief Secretary Sindh. All officers and cabinet members report to the Chief Secretary. The Chief Secretary is an appointed official by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The Chief Secretary of Sindh is usually a Grade 22 officer, belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service. Grade 22
Grade-22 (also referred to as BPS-22) is the highest attainable rank for a Civil Servant in Pakistan. Grade 22 is equal to a 4-star and 3-star rank of the Pakistan Armed Forces. With over five hundred thousand civil servants and bureaucrats in Pakistan, only a few dozen officers serve in BPS-22 grade at a given time. Hence, not even 1% of the country's civil servants and/or bureaucrats make it to the highest rank. The Sindh Archives are the main repository for the provincial government of Sindh, Pakistan. They are located in Karachi. History Sindh was annexed to British rule in the year 1843 and integrated with Bombay Presidency in 1847. Considering that proper preservation of all records regarding Indus Valley is necessary an accommodation was acquired within the compound of Government house (now Governor's House) and a record room was established there during 1853. The Sindh Health Department is the provincial department that oversees healthcare for the Pakistani province of Sindh.
