''Goosebumps'' is a series of children's horror novels written by American author R. L. Stine. The protagonists in these stories are teens or pre-teens who find themselves in frightening circumstances, often involving the supernatural, the paranormal or the occult. Between 1992 and 1997, sixty-two books were published under the '' Goosebumps'' umbrella title. R. L. ''Goosebumps'' is a anthology horror fantasy television series based on R. L. Stine's best-selling book series of the same name. It is an anthology of stories involving children and young adults in otherworldly situations. The series is centered around the same supernatural or occult elements featured in the novels, with most episodes being direct adaptions of the books. Production ''Goosebumps'' was filmed largely in Ontario, Canada, with different houses and historic properties in Toronto, Markham, and other outlying rural areas serving often as the sets for each episode rather than constructing artificial houses and buildings. Ontario also provided a more affordable filming location and an aesthetic that could double as American while maintaining ambiguity in terms of location and setting. Props for the series were designed by Ron Stefaniuk and Alan Doucette, while Stefaniuk retained many of the animatronic props at his own studio after ''Goosebumps'' was cancelled. Episo ... ''Goosebumps'' is a series of children's horror fiction novellas by R. L. Stine. 62 books were published under the ''Goosebumps'' umbrella title from 1992 to 1997; the first was ''Welcome to Dead House''; the last was ''Monster Blood IV''. The cover illustrations for this series was done primarily by Tim Jacobus. Some of the books were reprinted in 2003–2007 with slightly altered covers. A reprint series unofficially referred to as "Classic Goosebumps" reprinted 22 Goosebumps books from 2008 to 2011 with new artwork and bonus features such as interviews with the author; ten more books were given a similar treatment in 2015 and four more in 2018 for a total of 36 books in the "Classic" reprint series. ''Goosebumps'' is a 2015 American horror comedy film based on R. L. Stine's children's horror novel series of the same name. Directed by Rob Letterman, with a screenplay by Darren Lemke, the film stars Jack Black as a fictionalized and exaggerated version of R. L. Stine, who teams up with his new neighbor ( Dylan Minnette) and his teenage daughter ( Odeya Rush) to save their hometown after all the monsters from the ''Goosebumps'' franchise escape from his works, wreaking havoc in reality. ''Give Yourself Goosebumps'' is a children's horror fiction gamebook series by R. L. Stine. After the success of the original ''Goosebumps'' books, Scholastic Press decided to create this spin-off series in 1995. In fact, Stine had written gamebooks in previous years. 50 books in the series, including the "special editions" were published between 1995 and 2000. All of the books in the series, with the exception of ''Please Don't Feed the Vampire'', are now out-of-print. General plotline For the most part, play is rather simple, as the books are merely novels with branching plots. The books are written in the second person and enlivened by puzzles or choices.
