Chiapas, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Chiapas, is one of the states that make up the Political divisions of Mexico, 32 federal entities of Mexico. It comprises Municipalities of Chiapas, 124 municipalities and its capital and largest city is Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar
Óscar Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar (born 13 October 1973) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement (MORENA). Born in Comitán, Chiapas, he is a law graduate. He is the current governor of Chiapas after winning the 2024 election. Career Ramírez Aguilar served as the mayor of his hometown of Comitán in 2008–2010. In the 2012 general election he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies to represent the 8th district of Chiapas for the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) during the 62nd Congress (31 August 2012 – 16 July 2013).
