Gastrodontidae is a family of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Gastrodontoidea (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005).MolluscaBase eds. Distribution The distribution of the Gastrodontidae includes the Nearctic, western-Palearctic, eastern-Palearctic, Neotropical and Hawaii. There are some representatives in Bermuda and Madeira.
