Gag Concert
''Gag Concert'' () is a South Korean sketch-comedy television show more commonly known as ''Gag Con'' (). It began airing on 4 September 1999 and aired its last episode on 26 June 2020, making it South Korea's longest-running comedy show. It started airing again on November 12, 2023, after 3 years and 4 months of absence. The show was recorded on Wednesdays and aired on KBS 2TV on Sundays at 9:15 pm. It now airs on Sundays at 10:25 pm. The show airs with English subtitles two weeks after it airs on KBS World TV on Saturdays at 6:00 pm. Sketch Comedy
Sketch comedy comprises a series of short, amusing scenes or vignettes, called "sketches" or, "skits", commonly between one and ten minutes long, performed by a group of comic actors or comedians. While the form developed and became popular in music hall in Britain and vaudeville in North America, today it is used widely in variety shows, as well as in late night talk shows and even some sitcoms. While sketch comedy is now associated mostly with adult entertainment, certain children's television series such have used it, too. The sketches may be improvised live by the performers, developed through improvisation before public performance, or scripted and rehearsed in advance like a play. Park Soo-hong
Park Soo-hong (, born October 27, 1970), is a South Korean comedian and presenter. Career In 1991, Park won bronze in the National College Comedy Contest, making his official debut in the South Korean entertainment industry. In the early 1990s, Park was a part of a group of comedians who called themselves ''Team Potato'' (), composed of Kim Gook-jin, Kim Soo-yong and Kim Yong-man, who all debuted the same year on Korean channel KBS. It was reported that Kim Yong-man had been admitted to hospital due to the comedians' busy schedule, and so Kim Gook-jin tried to convince their producers to lighten their load. However, producers didn't take this well, and ultimately banned ''Team Potato'' from appearing on television. Ahn Young-mi
Ahn Young-mi (, born November 5, 1983), is a South Korean comedian. She made her debut in KBS' ''Gag Concert'' 19th class in 2004 and is best known for her provocative wit. In 2018, she joined the comedy-girl group Celeb Five. Young-mi is also known as the first female MC of the South Korean talk show, ''Radio Star'' since 2019. Kim Jun-ho (born December 27, 1975), also known as Charlie Kim, is a South Korean comedian, singer and television personality. He has starred in ''Gag Concert'' since 1999 and was a member of the variety show ''2 Days & 1 Night'' from 2013 to 2019.
