Jules Bocandé
Jules François Bocandé (25 November 1958 – 7 May 2012) was a Senegalese professional footballer who played as a striker. Bocandé is regarded as one of West Africa's best footballers of all time and was named an African Football Legend by CAF in 2009. Club career Bocandé was one of the first Senegalese footballers in France and was Ligue 1's top goalscorer in the 1985–86 season with 23 goals. International career Jules Bocandé participated with the Senegal national team in three editions of Africa Cup of Nations in 1986, 1990 and 1992. Stade Demba Diop
Stade Demba Diop is a multi-use stadium in greater Dakar, Senegal. It is situated on ''Boulevard Président Habib Bourguiba'' in Sicap-Liberté, an urban arrondissement of Dakar. Several football clubs use this stadium for their home games. History Built in 1963, the stadium was later named after Demba Diop, former mayor of M'bour and Minister of Youth and Sport under President of Senegal, President Léopold Sédar Senghor. Diop was assassinated on 3 February 1967. In 2017, eight people died after a wall at the Stade Demba Diop collapsed during a match between Stade de Mbour and US Ouakam. AS Douanes is a Senegalese professional football (soccer), football club based in Dakar. The current chairman as of 2016 is Alassane Ndione. Diambars FC de Saly is a football academy in Saly, Senegal, which plays in the Senegalese National League 1. It's also a part of Diambars, a non-profit organisation certified by UNESCO. History Diambars was founded in 2003 by former footballer Patrick Vieira and other players.
